Brand New just out of the kiln!! These are “Florida meets Virginia” My family always jokes with my that I have gone “soft”. I now officially think that Virginia is the Arctic and well Florida is the jungle

Here is another set in the Floriana Collection called Navajo Blanket- I know not exactly Florida inspired but I grabbed a transparent red instead of my orange grr and so it took on a more south western look. These beads have been given a soft etch.

I have started the year out with new inspiration and new bead ideas! The title of this new collection is- Floriana. I live in South Florida and the sites, sounds, and colors are all a daily inspiration for my work. Here is the debut set

Sun Urchin

This will be the new home of ALL of my news and blog posts. In the past before I changed websites I had a blog and a separate e-commerce sites. I want to be able to reach as many of my customers as possible and I feel that merging my blog with my .com is the best way to do that!

Since I use WordPress for my site it seems only natural that I transfer over blogging to sundoorbeads.com So for all of my loyal followers of my Blogger- Glass Gurl I would so appreciative if you would subscribe to sundoorbeads.com! I will be posting this as well over on blogger so that all of my current followers have the chance to switch over before I close out my Blogger next month.

This post and update are a long time coming! I had to close my Studio and Shop from the 24th of December till January 1oth. My Grandmother “Miss Betty” was rushed to the hospital with heart complications. She has now made what I am calling a “complete” recovery! She is at home and up to her old tricks! She is 93 years young and only has 1 speed FAST!

I am inspired now to get back to what I love and that is beads and jewelry! Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes and most of all Thank you for understanding how much she needed me during this trying time!

As many of you may know from stopping by my Etsy site I am currently away from my studio for a family emergency. My 93 year old Grandmother (who is sharp as a tack trust me!) was brought into the emergency room on Christmas Eve with an “episode” they thought it was neurological but it turned out to be her heart. I rushed up to be with her and have been by her side pretty much every step of the way. I will be here for as long as she needs me.

I am so grateful for the prayers and well wishes from my very understanding and wonderful clients.
